He's one of the biggest names in wrestling history. Hogan helped turn WWE, then WWF, into mainstream pop culture in the 1980s.
Career highlights
1. *WWE/WWF era*: Main event star in the 80s and 90s. Famous for "Hulkamania" — his 24-inch pythons, yellow and red gear, bandana, and "brother" catchphrase.
Won 6 WWE Championships. Headlined the first WrestleMania in 1985.
2. *nWo and WCW*: In 1996 he shocked everyone by turning heel and joining the New World Order in WCW. Dyed his beard black and became "Hollywood Hogan." Helped make WCW beat WWE in the ratings for a while.
3. *Return to WWE*: Came back in 2002 and won his 6th WWE Championship.
