Short News: 49ers Coach Kyle Shanahan Update
49ers HC Kyle Shanahan is dealing with “lingering effects” from a severe concussion after a July 14 car crash near Palo Alto.
GM John Lynch says Shanahan will be in a “concussion protocol” and limited at training camp. He also suffered a broken nose, 3 broken ribs, broken hand, and 40 stitches.
Assistant HC Chris Foerster will be “acting” head coach with help from coordinators Klay Kubiak and Raheem Morris. Lynch expects Shanahan to be back for the Sept 11 opener vs Rams in Melbourne, Australia.
