Kaylee Hottle’s mom shares heartbreaking tribute after daughter, 18, dies in fatal car crash



Short News: Kaylee Hottle Passes at 18


Kaylee Hottle, deaf actress known as Jia in _Godzilla vs. Kong_ and _Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire_, died at 18 in a 3 a.m. car crash in Maryland on Tuesday.


Her mom Ketsi shared a tearful ASL tribute on Instagram, calling it a “privilege to be” Kaylee’s mom. Her dad Joshua also announced the news and traveled to claim her body.


The 19-year-old driver had non-life-threatening injuries. Speed is believed to be a factor. The crash is under investigation.


Kaylee, from Austin, TX and a Texas School for the Deaf student, started acting at 9 and advocated for deaf actors playing deaf roles. A GoFundMe for her family has passed $20,000.
